FAQs - Helping you understand how Streets Ahead Social can help your business

Streets Ahead Social exists to help solopreneurs and SMEs like you master the basics of social media.

Led by me, Dane Thomson, an award-winning social media consultant, I provide you with simple and sound social media advice, training and content ideas for your business.

In the spirit of ‘You ask, I will answer’, let me take this opportunity to answer your questions I have been asked.

What is the process of getting you in to do my social media?

You get in touch with me however you wish (Phone, Text, Email, Private Message) with what’s on your mind regarding social media.

I then get back to you within 24 hours to arrange a suitable time to chat further.

We then have a FREE informal 20-30 minute chat where we simply get to know each other and talk briefly about what’s on your mind about social media.

We then decide together if you would like to go ahead for a formal 30-45minute consultation where we explore in more detail what social media assistance you need. The cost of this is £75. We can do the consultation over the phone, via skype or in person.

From this consultation, I will then recommend the further assistance you need and give you a price for the work. You then decide if you would like to work with me on a further basis. The price will be agreed and signed off from the start, there will no hidden costs.

What social media services do you provide?

Social media strategy formation

I get hands-on and help you build a clear picture of who your ideal client is, what they are looking from you on social media and how you are going to take the steps to turn them into a new or returning client of yours. This can be done over 1 full day or over 2 ½ days – it depends on what works best for you.

Social media training

I sit alongside you (either in person or virtually) and teach you how to use and get the most out of your chosen social media platform (s) for your business. This can be done over 1 full day or 2 ½ days – it depends on what works best for you.

Social media for events

Got a big event coming up for your business and need some social media support?


For your event I write and create social media content plans, marketing materials, live posts on the day. Anything you need to help get your event into the newsfeeds, inboxes and diaries of who you want to attend, I will help you.

Social Media Management

Too busy to do social media at all? No problem! I can fully manage your social media profile (s).

I can schedule posts days/weeks in advance as well as create ‘in the moment’ posts that your audience will LOVE! I will then report back the results in ways YOU understand.

How much do you charge for your services?

I price all work individually as each client has different needs. I provide you a clear costed quotation with a menu of options for my involvement. This means that you know upfront exactly what your costs will be. Also, all travel expenses are reimbursable.

When do I pay?

Upfront before any work (beyond the FREE 20-30-minute consultation) commences.

Who will I be working with?

All the work carried out with you will by done by me, Dane. I will not outsource your work. I will not pass your personal details onto a third party without your full permission.
