Streets Ahead Social founder, Dane Thomson is thrilled to announce that he will be reuniting with his friends at AM Bid Services to take part in ‘Sleep in the Park’ – a mass sleep out event to raise money to end homelessness in Scotland on the night of Saturday 9th December 2017.

The event is being organised by Social Bite, a Scottish charity who work tirelessly to alleviate homeless through employment, support programmes and temporary housing.

Dane who worked successfully with AM Bid Services for over 1 year will be part of the ‘fantastic five’ team on the night joining his long-standing friends, David Gray, Chris Blackburn, Callum Graham and Cameron Houston. The team will join 9,000 others, participating in the world’s largest ever sleepout, spending the night sleeping out in the freezing cold, in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens.

Stark evidence surfaced from Shelter Scotland showing that there were over 34,000 homeless applications made this year alone. Social Bite plan to use the funds and awareness raised from ‘Sleep in the Park’ to help eradicate homelessness over a 5-year period, by providing people with housing, rehabilitation, job opportunities and the support they need to get back on their feet.

Speaking about taking part in this important event, Dane said

“I am thrilled to be joining forces with my AM Bid Services friends again for social good. Together we are reuniting to experience a night in the bitter cold to help raise funds for those who are homeless. I find it upsetting that people are in this situation and I am joining the sleep out to play my part in helping social bite end homelessness. We would really appreciate your support. A donation however big or small can be life-changing for someone who doesn’t have a home to call their own. Please donate here:
